How much of the ashes do you need?

Only a small amount is required, approximately two teaspoons. This allows the portrait to be created while preserving the majority of the ashes for you.

What happens to the remaining ashes?

Any unused ashes are carefully returned to you alongside your completed portrait.

Are ashes ever mixed between portraits?

No. Ashes are never mixed. Each portrait is created individually, with complete care and separation at every stage.

How are the ashes handled?

Ashes are handled with care, respect, and intention at every stage of the process, from arrival at the studio through to completion.

Can this be created as a gift?

Yes. Many portraits are commissioned as meaningful gifts for family members.

Will I be kept informed throughout?

You will be kept informed at each stage, with direct access for any questions or reassurance – including outside of standard hours if needed.

How do I send the ashes safely?

You will receive a secure ashes kit with clear instructions, including pre-paid, fully tracked delivery to ensure everything arrives safely.

Can I see the portrait before committing?

Yes. You will receive a complimentary mock-up based on your photograph, allowing you to feel confident before proceeding.

How long does the process take?

Each portrait typically takes two to three weeks to complete from start to finish.

Will the portrait look exactly like the photograph?

Each portrait is hand-drawn to capture both likeness and presence. While it is not a digital copy, great care is taken to ensure it feels true to your loved one.

Can I choose which photograph to use?

Yes. You are welcome to provide a photograph that feels most meaningful. Guidance is available if you are unsure which image will work best.
